Shelter Cymru Nike Golf Golf Development Wales Celtic Manor Prizes

Each player is asked to raise sponsor money for Shelter Cymru who organise this event.

Shelter Cymru is Wales' people and homes charity.

We believe that everyone in Wales has the right to a decent home. We work closely with our sister charities in England and Scotland, but we are completely independent and all money raised from events such as the Welsh Mini Masters goes directly to supporting families in Wales at risk of losing their homes or living in poor housing conditions.

Shelter Cymru provides frontline services to people in housing need in all 22 local authorities in Wales, and through our work in policy, research, campaigning and lobbying, we help overcome the barriers that stand in the way of people in Wales having a decent affordable home.

This year we are marking 35 years of working to prevent bad housing and homelessness in Wales. During this time we have helped around half a million people fight for their rights, get back on their feet and find and keep a home. We also tackle the root cause of bad housing by campaigning for new laws, policies and solutions to the problem.

Currently, our advisers are struggling to meet the increasing demand for our services. But despite this, during the past year, we helped over 16,000 people and managed to prevent homelessness in 93% of cases that were presented.

Many families are facing difficult times ahead and, with your support, we can continue to provide front line services that offer free independent, confidential advice and support throughout Wales, whilst continuing to campaign for changes that will improve housing conditions for everyone.

Events such as the Welsh Mini Masters play a vital role in raising money for Shelter Cymru at a time when demand for our services is at a record high.

The top six fundraising players, from across Wales, will be invited to The Celtic Manor to play in their own separate event. There will be an additional prize for the top individual fundraiser. Inclusion as one of the top fundraisers will be based on money received by Shelter Cymru on Friday 2 September and will include Gift Aid.

Where possible all prizes will be distributed at the Qualifying Rounds. Shelter Cymru reserves the right to substitute a prize if the exact item of stock is not available.
